MAURY GOSTFRAND

president & founder

Maury Gostfrand has been representing sports broadcasters for over 15 years. He started Vision Sports Group in 2005, after working as an agent for a boutique sports management company in New York City. Maury has excellent relationships with the key decision makers from the sports television networks, and has developed a solid reputation in the industry. He specializes in representing play-by-play announcers and former players who want to make the transition to broadcasting. In addition, he has negotiated contracts on behalf of Major League Baseball managers including Joe Torre and Kirk Gibson.

Maury currently serves as a board member for the Safe at Home Foundation and dedicates a lot of time and effort in supporting various other charities.

Maury graduated from the University of Michigan and University of Miami School of Law. He currently resides in Chappaqua, New York with his wife and three children.

TIM O’NEILL

executive vice president

Tim brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in sales and sports marketing to VSG. His role consists of representing brands and companies, securing marketing opportunities for our clients, identifying new clients, and overseeing events.

Born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey, Tim started his professional life with Philip Morris’ Companies in 1987. Tim had various positions in Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing. While in Chicago, Tim ran a newly-initiated Sports Marketing and Events Department. His responsibilities involved negotiations with the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball; he orchestrated contracts on behalf of Kraft Foods, a Philip Morris Company.

Tim also formed an association and hired many professional athletes to work for Kraft Foods: among those are Joe Torre, Marshall Faulk and Larry Bird. He also was heavily involved with running the Philip Morris Invitational: an annual invitational with Philip Morris, Kraft Foods and Miller Beer. During these three-day events, Tim hired hundreds of celebrities, musicians, professional golfers and athletes to entertain his customers.

In 1999, Tim went to Spalding Sports. He was the Regional Manager for the golf division, and he managed in excess of fifty sales reps who sold Ben Hogan, Etonic, Strata, and Top Flite brands. He continued to form close relationships with professional athletes and golfers and spearheaded, arranged, and managed frequent commercials and promotions to benefit the respective participants.

In 2004, Tim became founder and President of TKO Productions, a sports marketing company; he ran corporate events and golf outings and booked hundreds of athletes on personal appearances. Tim has been the chairman of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Golf Tournament since its inception in 2004. He has sacrificed his time to significantly impact a number of boards and councils, and he has been actively involved with many charitable organizations. Tim’s significant corporate relationships and diverse background are extremely valuable assets in finding and booking talent and running events at Vision Sports.

Tim is married to his wife, Gina: and, together, they have raised three wonderful children. Tim currently resides in Morristown, New Jersey.

JOSH ROSENTHAL

director of broadcasting & marketing

Josh joined VSG as a Junior Agent in March of 2011. He assists in the day-to-day operations of the company, procures and represents broadcasting talent, and secures marketing deals for our clients. Before VSG, Josh worked in the finance department of one of the top international law firms in New York City: Simpson, Thacher, & Bartlett, LLP.

Josh graduated from the University of Massachusetts where he was accepted into the Isenberg School of Management and one of the top Sport Management programs in the country. During his time at UMass, Josh worked as a full-time intern in the Sports Marketing Department. He also coached baseball and basketball at the high school level. Josh did his graduate work at Monmouth University near the New Jersey shore, very close to where he grew up.

MICHAEL SALIK

broadcasting & marketing coordinator

Michael joined VSG as a broadcasting and marketing coordinator in May of 2016. He assists in the generation of broadcasting and marketing opportunities for our clients, provides research in identifying potential new clients, and handles many of the daily operations of the company. Prior to joining VSG, Michael worked at WME|IMG in the Broadcast and Non-Scripted Television departments.

Michael graduated with Cum Laude honors from Northwestern University, double majoring in Legal Studies and Psychology. After a successful high school basketball career in which he was named First Team All-League and elected as a member of the New York Academic All-State team, Michael became the captain of the Northwestern Men’s Club Basketball team. Throughout his summers, Michael obtained a wide array of internships in various fields, including positions with the New York Yankees and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Michael currently resides in Manhattan, where he was born and raised.
