Daron Sutton has been broadcasting Major League Baseball on TV and radio at the network or team level for the last 17 years, while calling college basketball for more than a decade. He spent five plus seasons as the television voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2007 to 2012. Prior to making his home in the desert, Sutton spent five years in a similar capacity with the Milwaukee Brewers. During his tenure in Milwaukee, Sutton won an Emmy Award in 2003 from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter. In addition, he has been nominated for regional Emmys on five other occasions.

Daron has been part of FOX Saturday Baseball telecasts since the 2006 season. In 2012, Sutton was on play-by-play assignment for eight FOX Saturday games. He also served as a consistent contributor to the MLB Network from 2010-12, serving as a regular reporter on the “Rundown” and “MLB Tonight”, while filling the role of primary reporter for a 2010 and 2011 NLDS Series.

In his first full-time play-by-play role, Sutton worked two seasons as a radio announcer for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and also hosted the club’s pre and post-game radio shows. Prior to that, he filled in frequently for two seasons calling Atlanta Braves games on Fox Sports South. While in Atlanta, Sutton also handled Southeastern Conference telecasts of men’s and women’s basketball, swimming and diving, gymnastics, track and field and volleyball.

In late 2014, Daron joined the Pac12 Networks announce rotation and called soccer and basketball for the network. Then in 2015, the Pac12 Network added Sutton as a primary voice of baseball and softball (http://pac-12.com/article/2015/02/09/pac-12-networks-announces-air-talent-programming-third-season-baseball-coverage). For the 2015-16′ school year, his role expanded dramatically with the network, encompassing a wider variety of sports.

In 2013, Sutton served as the play-by-play announcer for the National High School Football Game of the Week on the newly launched Fox Sports 1 network, while also calling college football for that network the following fall. Also in 2013-14, he did play-by-play for Big 12 and Conference USA Baseball on Fox College Sports. For three seasons Daron was the broadcaster for Arizona State’s men basketball games on FOX Sports Arizona while still continuing to fill the role as the television voice for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men’s basketball team, which he did for a decade.

Daron is a commercial spokesman for Sanderson Ford and Lincoln, one of the most historic and successful Ford dealerships in the United States. He is also a spokesperson and has a six-year relationship with Perfect Game, the nation’s largest and most respected amateur baseball scouting, showcase and tournament hosting service. During the 2013 and 14’ MLB seasons, as part of his role with PG USA, he has co-hosted the three-hour MLB Roundtrip with Baseball Prospectus each Sunday night on Sirius/XM’s MLB Network Radio, while also writing a weekly column for Baseball Prospectus.

Community involvement is a high priority with Sutton. He has hosted the annual Sutton’s Strokes for Little Folks golf tournament in the Valley to benefit the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=11006). He also can be found lending his time to Operation Santa Claus, Special Olympics of Arizona, Florence Crittenton of Arizona, Make-A-Wish Arizona, Autism Speaks, Amyloidosis Support Groups, The City of Surprise Youth Sports Assistance and The Tempe Sports Authority Courage Awards.

Sutton pitched professionally for two seasons in the Angels and Braves organizations, and graduated from Auburn University-Montgomery in 1992 with a degree in communications.

Sutton is the proud parent of two daughters.
