Jon “Boog” Sciambi is the voice of Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN Radio and is a host of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight. He also handles the play-by-play for college basketball and other events.

Boog was the lead play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Braves on Fox Sports South and SportSouth from 2007 – 2009.

Boog also served as a play-by-play announcer for the 2009 World Baseball Classic for ESPN and MLB International.

In 2005, Boog joined 790 The Ticket in South Florida where he served as a radio host for about three years.

Prior to joining ESPN and 790 The Ticket, Boog served as a radio voice of the Florida Marlins. Teaming up with Dave Van Horne, Boog broadcast Marlins games over WQAM. He was also a part-time host of ESPN Radio’s “Game Night”.

In 2000 and 2002 Boog was the studio host for Westwood One’s coverage of the Olympic Games. He also called college football and college basketball games for Westwood One.

Prior to joining the Marlins as a play-by-play announcer, Boog hosted the pre and post game shows on Marlins radio broadcasts from 1997 to 2000. In 1996, Boog did play-by-play for the Boise Hawks.

Boog also hosted the pre/halftime/post game show for the Florida Panthers.

Boog is a graduate of Boston College.
