Tom Pelissero is an NFL writer and reporter for NFL Network and Prior to joining NFL Network in 2017, Tom was an NFL writer and insider for USA TODAY Sports, where he covered the league with a national focus since July 2013. Tom is very well-connected around the league, is a respected reporter/journalist, and has broken a number of the league’s biggest stories over the past few seasons.

Tom is also a part-time host on SiriusXM’s NFL Radio and Mad Dog Sports Radio, as well as on 1500 ESPN Twin Cities. He has a weekly podcast, the TomCast, that’s distributed by 1500 ESPN and Podcast One. During the 2016 NFL Season, Tom has made regular appearances on CBS Sports Network’s ‘Time to Schein’. Tom has also appeared on ESPN and NBC.

In 2014, Tom had the first interview with Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson following Peterson’s suspension by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell over a child injury charge. That story was part of USA TODAY’s entry that won an Associated Press Sports Editors Top 10 award in the projects category for coverage of NFL domestic violence issues.

Tom also has won Wisconsin Newspaper Association and Milwaukee Press Club awards.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Tom graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 2003. He began covering the Vikings months later for and ended up co-hosting a weekly show, “Vikings Uncensored.” He also worked at the Leader Telegram in Eau Claire, Wis., before becoming assistant sports editor of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, where he covered the Packers for three seasons. In 2010, he left for 1500 ESPN, where he was senior editor of the website, covered the Vikings and eventually hosted radio shows six days a week.
